Here’s the thing: I have a new set of Japanese swords (Katana, Wakizashi, and Tanto). thinks her Tai-Chi sword is better.

In reality, both of our swords are not exactly cut out for fighting. My sword was bought at a flea market. It’s sharper than i expected (it is sharp enough to cut), but it isn’t isn’t made for combat. Both of us have replica swords (as originals cost upwards of $1000, the price of my first car), so this is a fairly even battle.

Mine is very solid, the tang being about three quarters the length of the handle, and it sheaths very nicely. It actually probably could fare pretty well in actual combat, but i don’t feel like testing that any time soon ^^
